Good Morning all my wonderful friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! I sure did, and remember I told you all about it HERE yesterday? Well, remember I also told you about receiving this nice little book in the mail from my Auntie Debbi in S.C.?
"Lily's Lovely Garden". I was so excited to see a book about another little girl named Lily, and so I wanted to share this sweet story with you too.
Maybe you can read along on the pages...and I will just kind of tell you about the story.
This little girl named Lily had a lovely little garden where she planted and watered her flowers and vegetables every day. Her garden was very beautiful.
And then one day Lily got a letter from her cousin, who wanted her to come and visit, but she didn't think she could go because she couldn't leave her garden.
But Lily had some special friends who wanted to help Lily be able to go visit her cousin, and so they all decided to take care of Lily's garden for her so she could go away for a little while.
They were very good friends...they even got Lily a ticket so she could travel, and gave her a basket of "fairy cakes" to eat along the way and even packed her little bag for her. They said they would take care of everything in her garden, and so she should just go and "enjoy your visit!".
The story tells us that "Every day the fairies worked hard in the garden." And when Lily came back home from her trip, "her garden looked as lovely as ever."
Lily was SO happy that she had such wonderful friends who cared so much about her. It made her very very happy. I think she knew that God had provided such good friends, and He helped them to be so thoughtful and caring.
I want to be that kind of a friend to my friends as well. Don't YOU?

I hope you have some special friends who will be there to help you when you go to the hospital and have that surgery next week. Mommie and I are going to be praying for you every day. It's so nice to help others have a blessing, don't you think? I hope you have a wonderful week now that you are home from your trip to your daughter's wedding. ReplyDeleteOh Miss Myra, I wish I could visit my identical cousin in S.C. But not yet...maybe someday! That would be SO much fun, especially if our Mommies could also visit and get to know each other! That would really be wonderful. But for now, this is just a very nice story! ReplyDeleteThank you, Miss Terri! Yes, it does seem to cover most everything. If we want people to be kind to us, we must first be kind to them. And Mommie said even if people are NOT kind to us, we should still be kind, and maybe they will change. I have to think about that because sometimes people are not nice, but I should still be nice and not let mean people make me feel mean. Hmmm, I think I need Jesus to help me with this.
